Zowie EC2-A After several tests on different surfaces, Zowie by BenQ has developed the Zowie EC2-A, an ergonomic right-handed wired mouse to best fit the body type and gaming style of each individual. The Zowie by BenQ EC1-A and EC2-A mice retain the same shape and size as the basic EC series while introducing the FK series sensor. Most mice have an information transmission rate of 125 Hz, which is artificially increased to 500 or 1000 Hz by a driver that is often resource intensive. The Zowie EC mice are the only ones that offer 1000 Hz transmission as standard, without the need to install any drivers. AN OPTIMISED OPTICAL ROLLER Unlike all other mice, which generally use a mechanical (often cheap) wheel, Zowie EC mice feature a 24-step optical wheel instead of the 16-step optical wheel found on EC mice for longer life, better responsiveness and greater accuracy. With almost all mice on the market, the cursor moves when the mouse is lifted to return it to the centre of the mat. In professional competitions, this kind of inaccuracy is unacceptable and can be very costly. That’s why Zowie has developed a unique optical technology that reduces the distance at which the sensor stops working to 1.5 mm (compared to an average of 2 cm on a conventional mouse).
